Lorenzo Grante began studying piano at age 10 at the A. Casella conservatory in L’Aquila, Italy, continuing there to study classical singing and vocal performance under the guidance of esteemed maestros A. Cesari and N. Policicchio.  He took advanced courses at the Accademia  Domenico Sarro in Trani and participated in a master-class in musical interpretation organized by the “Umbria Classica” Association.

In 2010 Lorenzo won first prize in classical singing at the International Competition “Sarro Cup” and was a finalist in the International Competition “Nera Marmora” in Sangemini, Italy.

He debuted in 2010 in the contemporary opera “Incastro” by the distinguished composer Fausto Razzi.  That same year he sang the role of Gaudenzio in Rossini’s “Il Signor Bruschino” in L’Aquila and Rome, as well as the role of the father in E. Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel” in several theaters in Umbria and Latium.

In 2011, Lorenzo performed in W.A. Mozart’s Requiem (K626) accompanied by the Tivoli Philharmonic Orchestra, and took part in additional recitals and concerts given by the Orchestra.

In 2012 Lorenzo debuted in the role of Belocore in G. Donizzetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore,” performing in theaters in Udine and Trieste.

In 2013 he left Italy for Germany, Köln, where he worked with the celebrated tenor Mr. Christoph Pregardien, focusing on the study and interpretation of chamber repertoire of F. Schubert and R. Schumann. 

In 2014 he collaborated with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Abruzzi in recitals and concerts, performing in Rieti and L’Aquila. 

He graduated with the highest marks in opera singing, under the guidance of M. N.Policicchio; in the same year he studied with M. Raina Kabaivanska, at the Music Academy ‘Chigiana’ in Siena.

In 2015 Lorenzo won the “Toti Dal Monte” International Competition, and performing the role of Leporello in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” in theaters of Treviso and Ferrara.

Finalist in the 67th edition of the international competition AsLiCo, gets the role of Ping in "Turandot" by G.Puccini, which will see him in twenty-three Italian theaters, including: the Teatro Grande - Brescia, Donizetti - Bergamo, Ponchielli - Cremona, Comunale - Bologna, Teatro Regio - Parma, Arcimboldi in Milano and Olimpico in Roma.

He is currently preparing for the Fall opera season when he will make his professional debut of Malatesta in G.Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale” .

In the season 2017/18 he sings as Ping in Turandot Royal Opera House - Muscat, Morales in Carmen at the Teatro Coccia di Novara, in China and in Messina. At the Teatro Massimo in Palermo he recently gave his debut in Le nuvole di carta and in La serva padrona. At the Teatro Comunale in Modena he sings in Menotti’s Dittico (The Telephone – The Medium) conducted by Flavio Emilio Scogna and directed by Stefano Monti and at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza he is Ormondo in Rossini’s L’inganno felice conducted by G.B. Rigon.
